I was born and raised in a small town on the prairies: Vegreville, Alberta. I left in my teens to discover the big city. And I did. One after another. Edmonton -> Vancouver -> Toronto -> NYC -> L.A. But in the last couple of years I've begun to understand that the prairies and everything they evoke is at the core of who I am as an individual and as an artist and that understanding has begun to guide me in terms of the choices I'm making, the opportunities that are arising and where this next leg of my journey seems to be taking me.
I act. I've been acting for many years. I also paint. I've directed theater and this summer I'll be directing my first feature, They Who Surround Us, inspired by the incredible journey that began as I started to research my Ukrainian heritage and ancestry.
